Since 1990, Daniel Charlton has been working on developing sustainable building systems and three years ago he patented the Insulated Fireproof Concrete Form (IFCF). Building healthy, resilient homes will never be easier.

The wall product is a 15-pound masonry block that assembles like LEGO and dry-stacks without mortar, making it a quick, simple way to build. A coating of grout-like material is later applied to the wall surface, which seals and binds the blocks.

Blocks are 24 inches by 8 inches high. They are comprised of 2-inch Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks that form the sides, which are held together with basalt ties/rods. The AAC blocks have 4 inches of high density EPS glued on the inside and are offset to ensure flawless stacking. This feature also creates an interlock and joint between the blocks and provides an R25 for the stock 12-inch-wide IFCF. The width of the block varies with the length of the block tie and, ultimately, the thickness of insulation or concrete that can be added.
